Hougan is co-author of the CFA Institute’s “Monograph on ETFs,” a crypto columnist for Forbes, and a three-time member of the Barron’s ETF Roundtable.

Personal info: Matt lives in Berkeley with his wife, 3 kids, his dog, and seven chickens. Matt was a Philosophy major in college. His career history includes stops as a sea kayak guide, minor league baseball mascot, shoe salesman, biotech analyst, ETF.com CEO, and now CIO of one of the world’s leading crypto asset managers. He was recently nominated for a Lifetime Achievement Award in ETFs, but says that he’s not done achieving. His wife designs museum exhibits, and is 100X cooler than he is.
