CLT- Fireside Chat: Diversified Real Estate Discussion with John Ockerbloom, Head of U.S. and European Real Estate, Barings

Wed, November 13 12:00 pm 1:15 pm

Real estate debt has grown increasingly as banks have reduced their lending activity. This fireside chat with John Ockerbloom will cover the residential space, commercial real estate, real estate debt and construction lending. Will the massive distress on the horizon materialize or is the debt held in private funds that can extend much longer than regulated banks who were at the heart of GFC? Are the opportunities in private real estate finally competitive with other growth assets and worthy of the illiquidity? John will discuss how real estate is cyclical and compelling opportunities in equity will surface including distressed properties, but also in asset classes such as residential that benefit from strong macro tailwinds.
