SUMMARY:Triangle-Markets Tug of War
DESCRIPTION:With the World’s two largest economies pulling in opposite direction\, the US working to slow demand and China working to rebuild after 3 years lost\, markets are sure to be pulled in an ongoing tug of war between growth\, inflation\, and rate expectations. Risk appetite\, rates\, credit\, equities and regions will all likely continue to experience continued market volatility no matter our desire for some semblance of normalcy following the pandemic. As we enter the new phase of the markets in the 2nd half of 2023\, we will discuss risks and opportunities across asset classes. \n\n\n\nSpeaker Bio: Dan Gerard\, Senior Multi-Asset Strategist\, State Street Global Markets Team \n\n\n\nDan Gerard is a Senior Multi-Asset Strategist for State Street Global Markets team\, based in Boston having relocated from Asia in 2021.  The macro strategy team devises FX\, fixed income and equity market views for State Street’s range of clients using a blend of macroeconomics\, fundamentals\, risk and investor behavior.  Previously to his current position\, he was the head of the advisory group within State Street Associates (SSA) our partnership with academia.
